Ski touring is the great combination of hiking and climbing in the mountains and the speed and fun we find in off-piste skiing. We make several different Ski touring trips to different areas, put your climbing skins on and discover a new side of the mountain.

Far up along the coast of Northern Norway and on the surrounding islands, majestic peaks rise directly from the sea, offering incredible conditions for ski touring. The views over the fjords are breathtaking, and the mountains’ shapes provide excellent terrain for unforgettable off-piste skiing.

To make the experience even more unique, we’ll be living aboard a large sailboat, which also serves as our transport between the peaks. We hike up the mountains under our own power and then ski back down—getting this close to nature and the elements is hard to beat!

In short, there are a lot of funny things to learn and on this course we enter deeply into the above. The goal of the week is to learn more about ski touring and have amazing experiences in an extraordinary environment.

Come with us to the Empire of the Midnight Sun! North of the Arctic Circle where the sun never sets and colors the mountains red, pink, purple and a thousand different shades in between all night long. Here, the snow remains on the peaks all spring and it is no problem to go on ski tours until June.

Ski touring week at Trollviken Lodge, Norway

Welcome to the Trollviken Lodge by the Ofot fjord in Norway. This is a wonderful place if you wish to experience genuine mountain culture on an old fish farm in the middle of Scandinavia's best ski touring area. We enjoy good food, sleep well and discover new summits every day. In the evening we take a sauna and a swim in the fjord before dinner. Then we sleep comfortably at the lodge with the smooth rhythm of the waves as background sound. On the other side of the fjord we can see the lights from Narvik reflecting in the water.
